We're glad you're here! Created on June 10, 2009, our website is hosted by www.classcreator.com and administered by classmates Gina Truitt (McKinney) and Scott Moore. Its goal is to give classmates from the ELHS class of 1970, including those who were in our class but did not graduate with us, and their relatives, friends, alumni from other classes, teachers, principals, etc. an opportunity to reconnect.

East Longmeadow High School 50th Birthday Party!
On July 4th weekend in 2011, plans are underway to celebrate the 50th birthday of East Longmeadow High School. Rose Molinari Myers (ELHS 1965) is coordinating the event. Note: Please do not confuse this with our reunion this October! This is a huge event in 2011 for anyone who ever attended ELHS.
The plan is for a four day celebration where past and present students, faculty, staff members, and residents come together to celebrate the high school’s 50th birthday.
On Friday, July 1, 2011, there will be an open house at the high school. The hope is the school will be filled with former and current teachers and staff to greet and reminisce with students and their families. A video showcasing the past 50 years will be shown throughout the night in the auditorium.
On Saturday, July 2, 2011, there will be a 50th Birthday Party Gala at the MassMutual Center in Springfield MA. The night will include dinner, dancing, and decades of memories. It will be a wonderful opportunity for generations of ELHS graduates to celebrate together.
On Sunday, July 3, 2011: Spartanum Spectacular... acts from throughout the years will be performing in the in the concert band shell on the grounds of East Longmeadow High School prior to the fireworks. The East Longmeadow Rotary Club will be sponsoring this as part of their summer concert series in honor of our celebration. Jimmy Mazz, international entertainer, will be the master of ceremonies.
On Monday, July 4, 2011, a float will be entered into the East Longmeadow parade wishing the high school a Happy 50th Birthday. As many past and present students as possible will be encouraged to walk the parade route with the float. An outing at Heritage Park on North Main Street will follow the parade.
A ticket cost of $75.00/per person will cover the open house, the gala, and a gift to the school. Several sub-committees have begun the work of developing specific plans for each activity.
