Phyllis in 1970 (she was then in the ELHS Class of 1972) and later in life.
Our dear classmate Phyllis Vogel Laliberte, who we knew as Phyllis Vogel, and who was in our class during third through fifth grades, passed away on May 26, 2024. Here are some excerpts from her obituary which appeared on the Affordable Burial and Cremation website, Duluth, MN:
It is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Phyllis Anne Laliberte (Vogel) left this world peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at the age of 72.
Phyllis loved to laugh, cook for her family, go to rummage sales, and sit on the porch enjoying nature with her beloved dog, Arlee.
She loved her husband dearly and raised her daughters to be strong.
Her daily presence will be incredibly missed by her husband, Michael Laliberte, and their dog, Arlee.
She will also be greatly missed by her daughters Jessica, Sara, and Danielle, as well as her six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She leaves behind her beloved brothers Peter, Jimmy, and Lee, and was predeceased by her parents, Jean and Charles, her brother, Mark, and her beautiful daughter, Jennifer.
We love you more, always and forever.
