Our Classmates

Mark Anderson

Our dear clasmate Mark Anderson, who was in our class from first through third grades at Center and Mapleshade Schools, passed away on Jan. 2, 2013. Unfortunately, we do not have a photo of him.

Here are excerpts from his obituary, which appeared in the Worcester Telegram and Gazzette newspaper, Worcester, MA:

Mark D. Anderson passed away peacefully at his home in Macon, GA with his wife, Susan at his side on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013.

Mark was born in the suburbs of Boston and lived in Massachusetts most of his life. His education launched his career in manufacturing, first in New England, followed by Raleigh, NC, and most recently here in Macon as a consultant for H-I-S Coatings, based in Oklahoma, servicing the local division of Johns Manville.

Mark was a loving husband to his wife, Susan for 32 years and a devoted father to their dog, Sadie.

He was an avid sports fan, especially auto racing. Mark enjoyed golf and working on home improvement projects, and was always willing to help others.

Mark will be greatly missed by many friends and loved ones, including his wife; his mother, Nell Anderson; his brother, Alan Anderson and wife, Deborah; nephew, Darryl Anderson and wife, Linda; and their son, Brennen; and sister-in-law, Marie Robinson. Mark was predeceased by his father, Gustave Anderson.

Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society.
