Our dear classmate Paul Saunders, who was in our class during first and second grades at Pleasant View School, passed away on Apr. 17, 1978.
Here are excerpts from his obituary, which appeared in the Springfield Union newspaper:
Paul D. Saunders, 25, of Water St., Stonington, Conn., native of Springfield, died Monday, Apr. 17, 1978 in Yale New Haven Hospital, New Haven., Conn., after a long illness.
He was a graduate of East Windsor High Schol, East Windsor, Conn.
He leaves his parents, Robert G. Saunders of Springfield, and Joan C. Connors of Mystic, Conn.; a sister, Linda C. Saunders of New London, Conn.; his paternal grandparents of Springfield; and his maternal grandparents of Hadley.
