Our Classmates

Richard Pieraccini

Our dear classmate Richard Pieraccini, who was in our class for just the first two months of our senior year, passed away on Jul. 30, 2010. Unfortunately, we do not have a photo of him.

Here are excerpts from Richard's obituary, which appeared in the Sunday Republican newspaper:

Richard Pieraccini died Friday, July 30, 2010 at the age of 59.

He was born December 1, 1950 in Springfield to Joseph and Catherine (Gabinetti) Pieraccini.

Richard had been employed by the former Crane Co. and Raymond Packer Co. He was currently working for Brockway-Smith Company in Hatfield. He was also a member of the Wellspring Church of Springfield.

Richard leaves his devoted wife of 38 years, Joanne (Arslanian) Pieraccini; his daughter, Tina Benoit and her husband, Michael of Wilbraham; his cherished granddaughter, Emily; and his sister, Phyllis Grimaldi and her husband, Tom of Springfield.

The family would like to thank the staff at Wingate of Springfield for the compassionate care given to Richard during his brief stay.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions in Richard's name be made to Wellspring Church, PO Box 5524, Springfield MA 01101 or St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
