Our dear classmate Valerie Jimenez, who was in our class from first through fourth grades at Pleasant View, Mapleshade, and Mountain View Schools, passed away from the effects of cancer on Mar. 10, 2008, according to her mother, Mrs. Barbara Minor.
Here is Valerie's obituary, which appeared in The Republican newspaper:
Valerie A. Jimenez, 55, of Acworth, GA, died Mar. 10, 2008.
A native of Springfield, MA, Ms. Jimenez served in the Army.
Survivors include her parents, Barbara and Neal Minor of Hampden, MA; two sisters, Cathy Kindness of Southbridge, MA, and Cindy Lamme of Kennesaw, GA; a nephew; and several nieces. She was predeceased by her grandparents, George and Mary Harding.
