Our dear classmate Vivian "Vicky" Haskell Gillison passed away on Saturday, Jun. 29, 2019.
Vicky joined our class in first grade. Very active in extracurricular activities, she was on the varsity swimming and softball teams all four years; served as the basketball team manager during her junior year; was a library aide during her freshman through junior years; was in the Literary and Spanish Clubs during her sophomore year; and was a member of the Aegis yearbook staff during her senior year.

Vivian Evelyn "Vicky" Gillison, 67, of Evansville, IN passed away Saturday, Jun. 29, 2019 at her home in Evansville, IN.
She was born Mar. 1, 1952 in Stafford Springs, CT to Melvin F. and Barbara (Sorel) Haskell.
She enlisted in the United States Marine Corps upon graduation from high school. After her honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, she went to work for the federal government, retiring after 28 years at a grade of GS-13.
She earned her Bachelor's in Business Administration from Central Pacific University in Hawaii. She was an active member of the Order of Eastern Star, Tri-State Women Veterans, Marine Corps League, and was an avid bowler.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cherish and Christopher Bobbitt of Oakland City; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Susan and husband, Kevin Graham of Windham, ME, and Sandra and husband, Ed Lachtara of Bridgton, ME; brother, Donald and wife, Ann Haskell of East Longmeadow, MA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Thomas F. Smith, Jr. in 2013.
Services will begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jul. 7, 2019 with a military service, followed by an Eastern Star service, then a memorial service at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, with Pastor Alec Hensley officiating. There will be a gathering of friends from 2 until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
