Who remembers the dances at the Congregational Church on Friday nights? How many of you said that's where you were going and didn't?

I actually went more Friday nights than I didn't!  Although, I have to admit we almost never stayed the whole dance.  I remember dancing to songs like Cherish, Along Came Mary, Just Walk Away Renee, lots of tunes by the Turtles, and the Four Tops,  and I remember we all tried to do the Shimmy to a little number called "Wipe Out!"   My sides used to hurt after that number!

Definately--and those would be great songs to hear at the Reunion Sat. evening.

As I recollect, and some of those gigs were a tad bit foggy, Cherish was always the last song played. Food for thought.

How many remember when the Band "The Never Ends": Dennis Arbour,Gary Rugani,Billy Duncan,Jeff Gardell, and Dougie Petrie played for like 7/8 weeks in a row and packed/rocked the place? "Hey Joe", "Johnny 'B Good", "Hey Mr. Tamborine Man" Cream, Beatles, The Byrds, The Yardbirds,..................

Hi Gina  - Well I remember them.  Might have even gone to a few.  I think the last time I went to Church there was when I become a Member.
